Hollywood Training: Are Celebrity Routines and Eating plans Beneficial?

Part of being a celebrity, actor, or actress is building a body fit for the role. How do these idols of Hollywood workout to keep looking physically perfect? People become obsessed with applying the workout of their favorite star to their own workout efforts. People often fail to think about one important question: do these celebrity workouts and diets really work? Can you truly attain the body you want by using a Hollywood workout?

Many of the star’s bodies took years to develop. Decades ago, Arnold Schwarzenegger set the standard for a great body with every red blooded American male seeking to look like the Terminator. Today, it would appear that this ideal has waned in popularity because body builders aren’t in much demand in celebrity circles. When Brad Pitt played Tyler Durden in Fight Club, the look changed again. Pitt managed to look intimidating for the role while maintaining a body very low in body fat with muscles that were clear-cut. This look became the goal for many years, and is still sought after today.

Over the past decade since Fight Club’s release, Hollywood has seen its share of more great bodies. Pitt once again blew everyone away with his god-like body in Troy, packing on muscle mass after Fight Club. In Blade Trinity, Ryan Reynolds boasts a truly impressive display of abs. In 300, the entire cast, including Gerard Butler, developed muscular bodies to represent the Spartans. Taylor Lautner, one of the actors in the popular Twilight movie, underwent a truly astonishing physical transformation for the role of Jacob Black.

You’d think that will all of these beautiful bodies, a common workout element could be picked out, or a theme that carries through each star’s diet. It seems, however, that celebrity workouts and diets vary dramatically from star to star. Some celebrities work out one muscle group per day; others perform full body circuit training workouts. Some celebrities work out every day for 30 minutes, while others hit the gym for hours each day. Diet practices vary also; a celebrity might eat three regular meals but watch alcohol and sugar intake while another celebrity might eat smaller amounts every couple of hours.

The bodies we see on the screen are all obtained by a variety of diets and programs. How can the results be the same when the methods are so different? Working diligently and effectively and never giving up. The stars have a huge advantage in the pursuit of a killer body, and it’s not simply their genetic makeup. They simply have the time, money, and desire to get the best body possible. If someone offered you $20 million to get in the best shape of your life in just 3-6 months, you’d find a way to do it even if it meant getting up at the crack of dawn, working out hours on end, and severely restricting your diet.

A celebrity workout routine need not be perfect because the celebrity for whom it was designed has plenty of time to correct any mistakes they make. Even the worst of workout routines, if combined with a healthy diet plan, will help a person get into good shape if they have the time and energy to invest. Additionally, celebrities have personal trainers and nutritionists to keep them on track. Unfortunately, the average working class individual has neither the time nor the resources. With limited time and money, it is not hard to make a crucial mistake when planning a workout routine.

Can a Hollywood workout help you achieve your fitness goals at all? Any fitness program will work for you with enough dedication, and that is about all we can really learn from celebrity workouts and diets. You cannot, however, just put on a celebrity’s workout DVD or buy his or her diet book and expect instant success. You might not have as much time to exercise as they do. Additionally, what works for their body may not work for yours. Instead, strive for the Hollywood look, not the Hollywood workout routine, with more time efficient workouts.
