Top 5 Symptoms Of A Sinus Infection

Hi all! For this article, I decided to talk about the top 5 symptoms of a sinus infection. I have been dealing with Sinus Infections for many years. It is something that I have (sadly) become very knowledgeable about. Hopefully though other people will find the knowledge that I’ve learned useful. Anyway, here is a list of the top 5 symptoms of a sinus infection. I hope this will make it a bit more clear to you if you suffer from a sinus infection or not. Now, let’s get to the list!

1. A Bad Cough

Have you been coughing more then usual lately? Is it a violent cough? This can definitely be a sign of a sinus infection. However, continue reading on, to determine if the other symptoms also fit what you may be experiencing.

2. Soar Throat

What about your throat? Do you have a soar throat? While this can just be the common cold, it can also be a symptom of a sinus infection.

3. Nasal Drainage

This is another fairly common symptom of a sinus infection. If you are experiencing nasal drainage, specifically a discolored nasal drainage, then you may have a sinus infection.

4. Headaches

What about headaches? Is your head hurting? This can be a good way to figure out if you just have the common cold, or a sinus infection. Headaches usually aren’t associated that often with the common cold, so if you find yourself experencing frequent headaches with the other symptoms, then this just may be a sinus infection.

5. Fever

Another common symptom of a sinus infection is a fever. Anything above 99F is generally considered a fever, so make sure to check your temperature!

One thing I should note about these symptoms is that for it to be a sinus infection, the symptoms usually will have had to last at least 7 days. So if you’ve only had these symptoms for a day or two, don’t jump to conclusions just yet.

I hope you found this list helpful. Once you know the symptoms of a sinus infection and if you have one, you can begin to start fighting it. Good luck!
